Right. Hi there. The last time I blogged was about... er... *thinks* oh, 27 days ago. How efficient.

Anyway, listening to 987fm Top 20 and realized that, hey! Singapore is hosting the very first Youth Olympic Games! What could possibly go wrong? Here's a few random thoughts to think about.

1 Jan 2010 - 2010th Singapore baby named Olympic - the birth of Olympic Tan Ao Yun
2 Jan 2010 - MOE announces new YOG curriculum to promote sports and culture
1 Mar 2010 - Government announces plans to upgrade Singapore Flyer to reach a height of 2010.2010m, reclaiming the title for the world's tallest observation wheel.
1 Jun 2010 - Taxi companies to charge $3 surcharge for weekdays and $8 surcharge for weekends for trips starting from Changi Airport, Seletar Expo, Singapore Expo, Changi Exhibition Centre, National University of Singapore and all other stadiums in Singapore.
1 Jul 2010 - Premium Bus Services serving NUS and all stadiums involved in the YOG including Jurong West Sports and Recreation Centre to be rolled out with a flat fare of $20.10
1 Aug 2010 - 20+10 new ERP gantries to be installed near official YOG venues to ease congestion with a toll fee of $20.10 for all vehicles
9 Aug 2010 - Act 1 of the Parade dedicated to the YOG
14 Aug 2010 - $20.10 taxi surcharge excluding flag-down fare and whatever surcharges for all trips starting from official YOG venues.
26 Aug 2010 - Renaming of Dover to Olympic to commemorate the world's first YOG to be held in Singapore.
